3. What is the funding eligibility criteria?
Self-sponsored learners: Up to 50% of course fees for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents between 21 and 39 years old, and up to 70% of course fees for Singapore Citizens above 40 years old.
Company-sponsored learners:
1. SME employers who sponsor the following persons can apply for up to 70% funding
2. All employers can apply for absentee payroll
a. Singapore Citizens and PR: $4.50 per hour, capped at $100,000 per enterprise per calendar year
b. Singapore Citizens aged 30 and above (or Persons with Special Needs aged 13 and above), earning a monthly salary ≤$2,500: 95% of hourly basic salary, capped at $13 per hour
4. What is UTAP and how can I use it for course fee funding?
UTAP is a training benefit and shall apply for NTUC members/ NTUC Starter members only. NTUC and NTUC Starter members shall enjoy 50% off balance course fee payable.
- NTUC Starter members (aged 18-25 years old) shall be eligible for a cap of up to $200 per year.
- NTUC members 39 years old and below shall be eligible for a cap of up to $250 per year.
- NTUC members aged 40 years old and above shall be eligible for a cap of up to $500 per year.
NTUC Members and Starter members shall not be eligible if they have been company sponsored. NTUC member/ NTUC Starter member shall submit claim via UTAP system within 6 months after course/assessment completion.
