The duration of the audit for the IATF 16949 certification process varies for each organisation. After the audit, the TÜV SÜD assessor will submit the audit report to the organisation within a maximum of 15 calendar days.
If the assessor identifies a non-conformity, the organisation must address it within a maximum of 60 calendar days, after which the review process will resume. Overall, the technical review will issue a certification decision within 120 calendar days from the last day of the audit.
IATF 16949 certification is valid for three years, requiring recertification after that.
