What will you learn?
Ergonomics is the scientific discipline concerned with understanding interactions among humans and other elements of a system and the profession that applies theory, principles, data, and methods to design to optimise human well-being and overall system performance. Ergonomics aims to prevent soft tissue injuries and musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) caused by sudden or sustained exposure to force, vibration, repetitive motion, and awkward posture. An ergonomically sound work environment helps an organisation better design tasks, workspace, controls, displays, tools, lighting, and equipment to fit employees' physical capabilities and limitations. Ergonomics training helps an organisation prevent health issues from achieving its legal obligations and Operational Control requirements of ISO 45001:2018.
