CQI-9 Auditor Qualification Course (As Per HTSA Version 4)

The goal of the AIAG CQI-9 standard implementation is the development of a heat treatment management system that facilitates continual improvement, emphasizes defect prevention, and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain. Compliance with CQI-9 is now mandated by OEMs as “customer-specific requirements”, hence it becomes necessary to undergo this training. As a part of the manufacturing process audit requirement for conducting 1st/2nd party audit, CQI 9 auditor qualification become a CSR of many OEMs/TIER 1.

Session 1:

• Scope, Goal, Competence required to become CQI 9 Auditor
• Understanding Thermocouple, Instrumentation, SAT, TUS
• Understanding of HTSA Audit procedure

Session 2:

• To prepare HTSA Audit Plan
• To complete Section 1-3 Audit

Manufacturing Engineers, Production Engineers working in Heat Treatment process/Metallurgy, Heat Treatment Supervisors, Maintenance & Furnace Validation Engineers, Instrumentation, Calibration and Validation Engineers working in Heat Treatment and Thermal domain, New Product/Process development.

Engineers involved with Heat Treatment System, Internal & External Process Auditors, Quality Management Systems and Quality Engineers, VDA 6.3 Process Auditors, who need to achieve auditor competency and knowledge in Heat Treatment System Assessment (CQI 9 -HTSA).

Participant must have attended awareness module of CQI 9 HTSA version 4 for at least 1 day to attend this training.

Note: This course does not serve the purpose of demonstrating an evidence to other mandatory criteria like minimum years of experience in heat treatment, knowledge on heat treatment, knowledge on core tools or knowledge on IATF 16949 QMS. These criteria related evidences shall be demonstrated by organisation or by candidates (participants) themselves.

• Learn flow of HTSA Process Auditing, Audit Planning, Summarizing Audit Results, and closers.
  
• Understand point of emphasize for Thermocouple, Instrumentation and how to audit them.
• Learn how to audit System Accuracy Test and Temperature Uniformity Survey.
• Learn how to integrate CQI 15 HTSA requirement with existing IATF 16949 QMS & Manufacturing Process Audits.

There will be an online post-test/exam consisting of 20 questions. Participants need to score 60% to pass the examination. Test duration is of 40 minutes, and it will be an open book test. 'CQI-9 Auditor Qualification Certificate' will be awarded to the participant/s on successful completion of test. No certificate will be awarded to unsuccessful participant (who do not pass the online test).

CQI-9 Auditor Qualification Certificate will be issued within 21 working days from the examination date.
