Our 3-day advanced-level AI Officer course covers the regulatory and organisational requirements for managing AI systems. The training focuses on practical application so you’ll learn about introducing, integrating, and continuously improving an AI Management System (AIMS) in line with ISO/IEC 42001 and the EU AI Act.
We start by exploring the organisational context for AI and the introduction of an AI Management System (AIMS), including its objectives and benefits. You’ll learn to identify relevant stakeholders, understand their requirements, and determine system boundaries while mapping your organisation’s AI system portfolio.
Next, the course focuses on leadership. You will examine the role of senior management inAI governance, understand accountability, and learn how to develop an AI policy (AI Directive). You will also define roles and responsibilities to ensure clear oversight and coordination across teams.
After that, we explore the planning aspects of being an AI Officer. You will gain practical skills in strategic and operational planning for AI systems, including risk management, opportunity identification, and aligning AI initiatives with business objectives.
In the support module, you will learn how to allocate resources effectively, develop the skills and training your team needs, and manage awareness, communication, and knowledge within the organisation.
During the operation section, you will gain an understanding implementing AI-related processes, managing AI systems and data life cycles, and planning for operational and organisational changes. Performance evaluation is important for an AI Officer so we will also learn to monitor AI risks and performance, conduct internal audits, and generate meaningful reports.
Finally, the course covers improvement focusing on mitigating risks, driving continuous improvement, and applying corrective and preventative actions. You will alsoexplore how to capture lessons learned and identify opportunities for innovation.
By the endof our AI Officer course, you will be prepared to take on a central role in AI governance, managing AI systems across their entire life cycle while ensuring compliance and supporting strategic business objectives.
