Mr. Niranjan Nadkarni was appointed Chief Executive Officer of TÜV SÜD South & South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa region on July 1, 2017. He is responsible for the strategic and corporate growth of the markets under his purview. In his current role, his key focus is to augment synergies within the sub-region by leveraging personnel and business competencies available to strengthen service and market portfolio of each sub-region.
With over two decades of experience, Niranjan started his career with SKF Bearings India Pvt. Ltd. In 1995, he made an unconventional move to join a five-member team at TÜV SÜD. He then qualified to become a Lead Auditor for management system certification ISO 9001, QS 9000, VDA 6.1 and TS 16949. During this tenure, he performed audits and training in many markets across the globe such as USA, Germany, Japan, China, South Korea, ASEAN and South Asia.
In 1998, he was appointed the head of South India region for TÜV SÜD South Asia. After managing this portfolio for over eight years, Niranjan was appointed as Vice President- Product Services, with the thrust to set up the Product Services portfolio in South Asia. He was instrumental in establishing a network of state-of-the-art laboratories for food, textiles and leather along with planning and implementation of market expansion strategy.
In 2009, he was appointed CEO of TÜV SÜD South Asia where he was responsible for the firm’s growth across India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Under his leadership, TÜV SÜD South Asia witnessed exponential growth in new business areas, expanded its product offerings and double digit financial growth.
Brought up in Mumbai, Niranjan is a Mechanical Engineer and has Masters’ degree in Management from Pune University in India. He is an avid reader and enjoys travelling and cross-country trekking.
Mr. Klaus Langner was appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the TÜV SÜD South & South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa region on July 1, 2017. In this role, he is responsible for financial and risk management, corporate development, strategic planning, performance management and corporate governance in this vast and diverse market. Prior to this appointment, Klaus was the CFO for the ASEAN region at TÜV SÜD.
Before joining TÜV SÜD, Klaus was a Partner & Managing Director at a leading strategy consulting firm, The Boston Consulting Group, and brings 16 years of experience in consulting top management on corporate and business unit strategy. He also served as a consultant for the United Nations World Food Program in East Timor and is a passionate advocate for non-profit causes related to improving children welfare, education, disaster and humanitarian relief.
After living in Germany and the United States, Klaus has been based in Singapore since 2001 and worked throughout Asia Pacific. He holds an MBA with distinction from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Masters in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
Mr Salah Safah has started his career with TÜV SÜD as a Managing Director on the pioneering year of 2001 with two branches in UAE with RI & Management system Division. He has been appointed as “CEO – Middle East” in November, 2016. In this capacity, he manages business and operations of Middle East region which includes United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt (14 Branches).
Under his leadership with extensive industry knowledge and over 25 years of experience, TÜV SÜD Middle East successfully expanded operations in other 5 countries and increased market share. During this tenure, TÜV SÜD established new divisions and services such as IRCA and Halal certification.
His main objectives on long term strategic planning and focus on operational and financial result made ME as one of the top performing regions.
After spending many years in United Kingdom, he is living in Dubai over 28 years. He holds higher diploma in engineering from University of East London.
Mr. Mostafa Jassim was appointed as Deputy CEO of TUV SUD Middle East in November 2016.
Mr. Jassim responsible for high-level of strategic planning, budgeting and execution of regional strategy. He is also supporting risk management, contracts, high net worth tenders. In addition to his Deputy CEO role, he is also overseeing business of Abu Dhabi Branch’s Sales, operations and management.
He started his career with TUV SUD from 2007 and appointed full time as Deputy Managing Director from October 2014. He has contributed to achieve large scale international projects.
He has over 30 years of experience from different industry such as aviation, manufacturing and research & development within UAE and internationally. Prior to joining full time with TUV SUD, Mr. Jassim was working as Vice President in Emirates Aviation – Supply Centre, UAE.
He holds an honor degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK. He has also achieved certificate from St. Gallen University, Switzerland specialised in Strategic Management & Leadership Change.
Mr. Yasser Hassan has been appointed Regional Manager for Industrial division in March, 2019 for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt. He was given additional responsibility of Qatar in March, 2021. He is leading multidisciplinary business units to achieve the strategic objective and financial goals of the region. In addition, he is also responsible for operations, large projects, tenders pertaining to industrial service division.
Mr. Yasser joined with TUV SUD in April 2012 and supported to establish IS division in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Before joining TUV SUD, Mr. Yasser was working with a leading Oil & Gas company for 13 years and handled several international projects in Egypt, Libya, Algeria and Jordan.
Mr. Yasser holds a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from Benha University, Egypt. He is a sport enthusiastic and traveler. He is also an authorized inspector from American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and qualified as NDT Level III inspector.
Mr. Rafat Salah Sahib has been appointed as Regional Technical Manager for Middle East in 2016. In this capacity, he is responsible for Middle East Real Estate Division in terms of technical and management of inspector’s competency and training & development. Apart from his regional role, he is also responsible for Abu Dhabi Real Estate (Crane & Lifting equipment department) business, operations and training activities.
He started his career with TUV SUD in January, 2002 as inspection engineer and he was appointed as Operations Manager in 2007. Mr. Rafat has developed numerous training and inspection services and trained many engineers in the company.
Mr. Rafat holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Technology, Baghdad, Iraq. Also, he has numerous certificates from Lifting equipment Engineering Association, UK.
Mr. Cijo Jacob Joseph is responsible for Business Assurance division which includes Auditing, Training and Certification.
Mr. Cijo has been working with TUV SUD since March, 2011 and started his career as Food Auditor. He was appointed as deputy manager for BA division from August, 2019 then took responsibility of Division Manager from August, 2020. Prior to this employment, he was working as consultant for international training center and food engineer in an UAE based company.
Mr. Cijo holds a Bachelor in Dairy Technology with honors from Allahabad Agricultural Institute, India and a Master Degree in Process & Food engineering from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, India. He also holds Lead auditor certificates for ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, 22000 and NEBOSH IGC with distinction.
