In 2016 TÜV SÜD and its three divisions – TÜV SÜD Rail, TÜV SÜD Management Service including SEC IT, and TÜV SÜD Academy – were again represented as exhibitors at the trade fair. This year's focus was on industrial IT security and on all services related to the digital enterprise. The eye-catcher and crowd-puller at the TÜV SÜD booth was KUKA's robot arm.
Registering over 490 exhibitors from 19 countries, this year's IT security trade fair, “it-sa”, ended in Nuremberg. The massive rise in professional trade visitors from Germany and abroad, now numbering over 10,000, shows that interest in the trade fair is steadily growing.
Europe's largest IT security exhibition, it-sa 2016, opened its gates for three days on
18 October 2016. In addition to the usual trade-fair activities, three dialogue platforms provided information for professional trade visitors on various topics such as protection against DDOS attacks, progressive methods of malware identification, combating ransomware, and cloud security. Live hacking demonstrations rounded off the interesting presentations delivered by the experts.

TÜV SÜD showcased its portfolio to crowds of visitors on all three days of the trade fair. The specialists from the three TÜV SÜD companies and their expertise and know-how clearly demonstrated TÜV SÜD’s status as a solutions provider in the digital field. Regarding Industry 4.0, KUKA's robot arm and its impressive process control demonstrated the degree of automation that has already been realised today, and proved a real eye-catcher and crowd-puller.
