TÜV SÜD has once again been ranked among the top 100 employers for future engineers in Germany in 2016. SIGNON Deutschland GmbH, a subsidiary of TÜV SÜD AG, was also awarded the “Top Job” seal by zeag GmbH, a company specialising in analysis of employer attractiveness.
TÜV SÜD once again ranked among the top 100 employers for future engineers in Germany this year. This is the result of the 2016 Graduate Barometer, the leading annual employer study carried out by trendence Institute among German graduates. We ended up in 56th place in the employer ranking for engineers.
The official rankings are published in the current issue of Manager Magazin. trendence is an independent consulting and market-research company. Every year it surveys more than 500,000 pupils, students and young professionals worldwide, asking them about their career plans and preferred employers. More than 37,000 students who were nearing graduation at 195 universities, among them around 13,000 engineers, participated in this year's trendence Graduate Barometer.
The complete rankings can be found at trendence online.
SIGNON Deutschland GmbH, a subsidiary of TÜV SÜD AG, was also awarded a “Top Job” seal of approval by zeag GmbH, a company specialising in analysis of employer attractiveness. The award for excellent employer quality was presented by former German Minister of the Economy Wolfgang Clement. CEO Steffen Jurtz, who accepted the award, said: “We pursue sustainable growth, and must therefore wage a permanent battle to win the war for talents. And to win this war, we need to be a well-known and, above all, excellent employer brand.”
SIGNON provides highly specialised consulting and engineering services for the transport, industry and information technology industries. SIGNON has succeeded for decades in building long-term employee loyalty, particularly in multi-disciplinary planning and design of rail infrastructure. Characterised by extraordinarily open and broad internal and external communication that supports independent actions, innovative spirit and mutual support, SIGNON is on course for long-term sustainable growth. “Companies are not automatically attractive employers; instead, they evolve into attractive employers in a continuous and never-ending improvement process”, explains Steffen Jurtz.
The family-focused and employee-friendly organisation of working hours for the company’s 210 staff at its five German locations contributes significantly to strengthening its attractiveness as an employer.
Working conditions that ensure a good work-life balance also make SIGNON an excellent employer. Employees can access the company network from their notebooks, and thus work from home. The company also agrees individual part-time working offers and contributes towards childcare costs. Of course, all these extras primarily benefit parents. However, other employees who want to set off on their dream holidays, for example, benefit from the possibility of taking extended holiday time. “Within the scope of what is possibly by law, some of our long-term employees even voluntarily continue working for us beyond retirement age. We take this as a great compliment”, reports Steffen Jurtz.
