Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (IREB) – CPRE RE@Agile Primer Examination
This certification is aimed at anyone interested in the topic of requirements engineering and agility who wants to gain background knowledge on the interplay of the two fields. It is particularly aimed at all people who deal with the topics of requirements engineering and agile development. This includes people from project or IT management, subject matter experts, system analysts and software developers, scrum masters, product owners and people who are part of agile organizations.
Holders of the IREB – RE@Agile Primer Certificate (CPRE-AP):
- Have an independent, internationally recognized certification to prove know-how in the field of Requirements Engineering and Agile.

The Agile Primer is aimed at anyone who works with requirements and wants to expand their knowledge of dealing with requirements in agile settings.

In order to be able to answer the exam questions correctly, you must master the subject matter defined in the syllabus RE@Agile primer.
How do I prepare for the CPRE FL exam?
► Participation in classroom training at a training provider (Training Providers - Training - IREB) or an online training course. The course should last 1-2 days and be conducted by a training provider who is recognized by IREB.
► Conducting the RE@Agile Primer Online Self-Assessment. The self-assessment is online via this website Online Self-Assessment - Exam - IREB possible. The evaluation will take place automatically as soon as you have completed the self-assessment.
► Individual preparation through self-study using the curriculum and study guide (Downloads - IREB)

This is an online proctored examination.
The indication of surnames, first names, place of birth and date of birth is a prerequisite for certification.
Examination supervision of the TÜV SÜD Examination Institute.
- Students need to connect to the examination session from an internet accessible location.
- Webcam and Microphone are REQUIRED.
- The examination venue must be a self-contained private room or office.
- When prompted by the online exam proctor, the complete work environment/room must be shown using the camera.
- There must be no other people in the room.
- No other materials are allowed in the vicinity of the PC/laptop other than permitted resources.
- No texts on the walls or desk.
- Quiet surroundings and no music, television or other sources of noise.
- No other computers or devices in the room are to be switched on.
- The room must be sufficiently lit (equivalent to daylight).
- Participants are not permitted to create or distribute transcripts of the examination contents (electronically and/or manually).
- Participant makes/receives a telephone call during the examination.
- Another person appears in the room.
- During the examination, the browser displaying the examination is left and answers are researched online despite this being prohibited by the examination regulations (closed book).
- Documents/notes are positioned on or around the laptop/monitor that enable the participant to cheat.
Certification takes the form of a 40-minute multiple-choice online exam with approx. 22 questions based on the content of the syllabus.
After passing the exam, participants will obtain their Certificate CPRE-AP
There are no prerequisites for the RE@Agile Primer.
