Implementation Guide
In recent years, the adoption of Industry 4.0 (I4.0) technologies such as increased automation, deployment of wireless networks on the shopfloor, remote controls, robotics and knowledge management systems that connect business and manufacturing lines is getting much traction among manufacturers. These technologies that interface with the production life cycle (from the digital supply network to the smart factory through the connected objects, process, and digital assets) enable businesses to improve productivity and competitiveness through cost control, better planning and fast recovery for all manufacturers independent of their size and sector.
However, the competitive advantage reached by the deployment of I4.0 technologies comes with an increased risk of vulnerability to cyber threats for the company. Each element of the digital value chain and connected production assets face unique cyber risks, and the human factor is the single biggest threat to assets and operations.
This 2-day course targets the operations and information security executives to provide cyber awareness and a detailed understanding of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and practices to ensure cyber resilience for I4.0 adoption and implement operational-level practices for operational continuity. In addition, this course will equip the operational level executives with the fundamental success factors in cyber resilience.
The training is designed to be interactive and insightful that provides both a theoretical background and practical hands-on experience for the holistic understanding and implementation of operational cybersecurity in I4.0. It draws from TÜV SÜD’s training and experience in managing industrial cybersecurity risks to improve productivity by reducing operational costs and downtime.
Duration: 2 - day course
