Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) have received growing attention in recent years from a variety of stakeholders. Indeed, ESG has implications for investors and rating agencies, as well as customers and employees, and has emerged as an important issue of debate at the Board level. This course gives an overview of an ESG framework and how it helps a company's overall risk management. It explores each component in-depth and gives insight into how they interact to affect a firm and its stakeholders. The course also looks at corporate pressures and stakeholder expectations and their influence on risk identification and company performance. Finally, we examine critical factors from diverse stakeholder viewpoints and how the company can start/enhance its ESG journey.

In this course, participants will learn how to understand and evaluate essential ESG concepts and the implications for businesses and major stakeholders, understanding materiality issues across organizations and sectors, determining internal and external stakeholders' risks and opportunities, examining need for ESG reporting, assessing disclosure quality, and actual ESG performance.
