    1. What is the VDA audit? What are the different standards?
      VDA stands for Verband der Automobilindustrie, which means the German trade association for the automotive industry. The VDA set up a Quality Management Centre (QMC) for the benefit of German automotive OEMs and their suppliers in 1997. VDA 6.x is a quality management system standard that is mandatory for German carmakers. VDA audit standards help in evaluating and improving controls in a manufacturing organization’s new product introduction and manufacturing processes.

      Different VDA standards are VDA 6, VDA 6.1, VDA 6.2, VDA 6.3, VDA 6.4, VDA 6.5, VDA 6.7. Out of all this VDA(6.1, 6.3, and 6.5) are favoured among the German supply chain and if your company is a supplier to German automotive, you will probably be audited for VDA requirements.
