Meeting Safety Standards in Singapore

Meeting Safety Standards in Singapore

The Singapore Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Registration Scheme or CPS Scheme is administered by Enterprise Singapore, the designated Safety Authority since 1991 by Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) under the Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Regulations.

The Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Regulations (CPSR) requires 33 categories of household products, also known as Controlled Goods, to be registered with Enterprise Singapore. These products need to be tested to specified safety standards, approved by designated third party conformity assessment Body (CAB) and affixed with the SAFETY Mark before they can be sold in Singapore.

The detailed information of these controlled goods are available in the Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Registration Scheme Information Booklet Edition issued by the Safety Authority and is obtainable from the website below:

As a designated Conformity Assessment Body (CAB), TÜV SÜD PSB Pte Ltd can support your entry into the Singapore market. We provide a comprehensive and competitive package of services for testing, technical evaluation, certification and registration of your product.
