Update in the China Compulsory Certification (CCC) Ex certification

UNDERSTAND UPDATED REGULATIONS FOR CCC EX CERTIFICATION

Combustible dusts and flammable gases, mists or vapours can all contribute to potentially explosive atmospheres in the workplace. For this reason, equipment and systems used in these types of environment must conform to specific safety requirements. These regulations apply to all explosion-proof equipment and systems including safety, control and regulation devices, and protective components, equipment and systems.

All products used in hazardous locations or explosion protected products used in China will be mandated by law to comply to the China Compulsory Certification (CCC). CCC is a mandatory conformity assessment system for products imported and sold in China.

CCC was first implemented in 2002 by the China Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA) to ensure standardisation of product quality and safety. This certification program will be expanded to cover explosion protected products effective from 1 October 2020 onwards.
