Understanding safety challenges across the battery lifecycle
Understanding safety challenges across the battery lifecycle
Unlike petrol or gas systems, batteries store and convert energy within the same unit. This fundamental characteristic makes batteries efficient — but also introduces unique safety risks that cannot simply be “switched off”.
In this webinar, our expert will provide a clear, structured overview of battery hazards and risk categories, explaining how and why risks occur and how they can escalate into incidents if not properly managed. The session forms a core component of battery design education, supporting safer development, handling, and operation across the battery lifecycle.

Battery risks and hazards are often misunderstood due to insufficient knowledge with this rather new technology. There are numerous videos of burning batteries on the internet, but how likely is it really that a battery burns? And what are the real dangers when handling batteries?
To ensure workers safety it is important that they know what risks are there and under which conditions.
This webinar is designed for professionals involved in battery design, handling, safety, and compliance, including:

Johannes Roessner
