In addition to holding accreditations as DeBo, NoBo and AsBo, on 2 November this year TÜV SÜD Rail also became accredited as a Designated Body (DeBo) for the sub-system of Rolling Stock – Locomotives and Passenger Cars (Loc&Pas) in Switzerland according to Section 15v (2) of the Swiss Rail Regulation (EBV).
As a testing and inspection organisation with a long tradition and history, TÜV SÜD Rail holds accreditations as Notified Body (NoBo), Designated Body (DeBo) and third-party Assessment Body (AsBo) in several countries and can thus offer one-stop integrated services. Since 2 November this year, TÜV SÜD Rail has now also held accreditation as Designated Body (DeBo) for the sub-system of Rolling Stock – Locomotives and Passenger Cars (Loc&Pas) in Switzerland according to Section 15v (2) of the Swiss Rail Regulation (EBV).
To become recognised as a DeBo, the body in question must demonstrate expertise and experience in the relevant scope appropriate to the complexity and safety relevance of the projects to be tested.
As a DeBo accredited in Switzerland, TÜV SÜD Rail can now also assess projects according to the Notified National Technical Regulations (NNTR) applicable there. Many customers require integrated approval services, including NoBo, DeBo and AsBo services, from a single source. This creates synergies, saving time and costs. As a DeBo recognised in Switzerland, TÜV SÜD Rail can now offer this service as an integrated solution for the DACH region, including Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In this context, the excellent cooperation with the Swiss Federal Office of Transport (FOT), which ensured a smooth accreditation process, merits special mention.
