Supporting your journey towards ZDHC compliance and sustainability
Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Programme is a global initiative driving sustainable chemical management across the textile, apparel, leather, and footwear value chains. To achieve ZDHC certification, manufacturers must demonstrate compliance with the ZDHC Wastewater Guidelines through accredited wastewater and sludge testing.
TÜV SÜD Bangladesh provides independent ZDHC-compliant testing and technical guidance, enabling brands and suppliers to meet global sustainability expectations.

Sludge Testing

ZDHC-Approved Laboratory – TÜV SÜD is recognised under the ZDHC Programme to conduct wastewater and sludge testing. Please refer to https://downloads.roadmaptozero.com/output/WW-labs for current information.
Global Recognition – Certificates and reports from TÜV SÜD are trusted by international brands and regulators worldwide.
Local Expertise – A dedicated team in Bangladesh with deep knowledge of textile, RMG, leather, and footwear industries.
End-to-End Support – Beyond testing, TÜV SÜD provides MRSL certification (Level 1,2,3), environmental audits, factory training, and sustainability consulting.
Proven Track Record – Decades of experience in supporting manufacturers to comply with global sustainability and chemical management standards.
Bangladesh is the second-largest apparel exporter globally, making ZDHC compliance a critical factor for continued access to international markets. With increasing scrutiny from EU and US buyers, ZDHC certification demonstrates responsible chemical management beyond local Department of Environment regulations. By working with TÜV SÜD Bangladesh, manufacturers gain both international recognition and local expertise to support sustainable growth.
ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) certification verifies that manufacturers comply with strict guidelines for managing hazardous chemicals in textile, clothing, leather, and footwear production. It confirms that products and processes eliminate or minimise harmful chemical discharge into the environment.
ZDHC wastewater testing is typically required twice per year (every six months) to maintain certification. However, requirements may vary based on your specific conformance level and brand requirements.
