Tank Assessor Course according to EEMUA Guideline 159
The Official EEMUA Training, Assessment and Certification Program
The EEMUA 159 guideline concerned about a comprehensive and effective process for the maintenance of flat bottom tanks. The guideline is kept up to date by a technical committee with international established and experienced experts for flat bottom tanks. The goal of the EEMUA 159 guideline is to enable the safe operation of flat bottom tanks without operational disruptions. The focus of EEMUA is the training of specialists, to enable them to carry out qualified inspections in order to define appropriate maintenance measures - the Tank Assessor! After the course you have the opportunity to get the international "Certificate of Competence" with an exam.

- general information about flat bottom tanks: e.g. storage media, tank types, components, materials, load limits
- control of aging processes: typical tank failure, wear and tear, wear and tear corrosion
- test methods (e.g. visual inspection and non-destructive material testing NDT) and their areas of application
- evaluation of the test results
- forward-looking inspection and maintenance actions: Welding procedures and quality assurance
- non-destructive test procedures and their areas of application
- Case studies and learning from failures
- construction of flat bottom tanks: tank base, tank bottom, tank wall
- tank roofs (solid roof tanks, swimming roof tanks)
- welded and add-on parts
- coatings of tank interior and exterior surfaces
- water level check
- moving tanks
Completed technical training (industrial route) and at least 3 -5 years of relevant industry experience as well as the ability to handle scientific formulas and calculations. OR:
Engineering degree (academic route) from a recognised university and at least 1 year of relevant industry experience.
The seminar lasts a total of 4 days. You have the opportunity to take the Certificate of Competence exam after the course.

After attanding the course, you can take the exam of the dates offered until the end of the year.
