Exchange of Experiences on Lithium-Ion Batteries in Rail Vehicles
Look forward to engaging, practical technical presentations, an interdisciplinary panel discussion, and exclusive insights into our battery laboratory in Garching.
On the very first day of the event, the lab tour will impressively demonstrate how extreme conditions are managed in a controlled manner during the testing of lithium-ion batteries. Critical scenarios such as overcharging, endurance testing, or intentionally induced internal short circuits are simulated realistically and safely. This clearly demonstrates how challenging it is to simulate real-world failure scenarios in a controlled manner—a balancing act between risk and valuable insights.
The goal of the event is to bring together experts from various disciplines to openly share and discuss practical experiences, current challenges, and potential solutions regarding “Lithium-Ion Batteries in Rail Vehicles.” Take advantage of this opportunity for personal exchange and networking in a pleasant atmosphere, and actively help shape the future of battery technology in rail transport.
