In response to the worldwide trends, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) adopted additional rules for sustainability reporting by listed firms as a part of its ongoing efforts to improve disclosures on ESG standards. The new reporting format, Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR) intends to create linkages between a company's financial outcomes and its ESG performance. This can make it simpler for regulators, investors, and other stakeholders to acquire an accurate evaluation of overall business stability, growth, and sustainability.
The purpose of this course is to impart information and awareness about Global Trends in Corporate Sustainability Reporting, Disclosure Requirements- BRSR and BRSR Lite, and Assurance Aspects of Sustainability Reports. Participants who complete the course will be able to integrate business practices that are in line with global trends, apply comprehensive concepts of responsible business, and grasp mandated disclosures to compile a Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report.
• The program will help participants in developing BRSR report by sharing best practices and approaches that encourage and/or successfully guide organisations to include environmental concerns in all business operations involving strategy, finance, operations, and communications.
• It will support further understanding of the present regulatory framework for Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting, as well as analysing disclosures made by Indian firms, assurance of various indicators, and discussing best practices followed in BRSR reporting.

• Interpretation of principles of BRSR
• Importance and steps to conduct stakeholder consultation and materiality analysis
• How to plan and create report with relevant contents
• Understanding various assurance methodologies and managing their requirements while preparing the report
• Linking the BRSR requirements with other reporting frameworks like GRI
