Pre-course reading

To help you get more from your one-day course, you are required to undertake pre-course reading. Prior to the course, you should:

• Read HSE INDG417 ‘Leading health and safety at work’
• Research your organisation’s health and safety vision
• Research your organisation’s key health and safety risks
• Understand what is included in your organisation’s health and safety policy and the objectives that the policy sets

WHAT IS THE COURSE METHODOLOGY?

The NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Health and Safety Leadership Excellence is a 1-day course that can be delivered either in a classroom (face-to-face) or online (virtual) format and includes one NEBOSH assessment. The course includes a variety of training tools such as digital learning, tests, quizzes and other interactive exercises to enhance delivery of theoretical knowledge.

HOW IS THIS COURSE ASSESSED?

The NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Health and Safety Leadership Excellence is assessed in the form of reflective statements undertaken throughout the course. Participants will be assessed on the HSE’s five leadership values.

• Exam date: Assessment will be completed during the 1-day course.
• Exam results: Results will be received within 24 working days.
• Certification: 
  • Certificate of Successful Completion: NEBOSH Certificate will be awarded only to the participants who completed all parts of the assessment and achieved the 100% reflective statement markings and is normally within 20 working days of the result date.
  • Certificate of Attendance: TÜV SÜD Certificate will be awarded if the participants completed the full number of tuition hours for the training course, in preparation for the NEBOSH assessment.
