The AI Officer TÜV SÜD training focuses on the governance and management of AI systems, with a strong emphasis on practical implementation. Participants learn how to introduce, integrate, operate, and continuously improve an AI Management System (AIMS) within their organisation. 

The course goes beyond theory. It demonstrates how regulatory and normative requirements can be translated into AI‑driven business processes while maintaining a clear focus on business objectives, operational efficiency, and innovation. 

WHAT IS AI OFFICER?

An AI Officer is a key organisational role responsible for ensuring that AI systems are developed, deployed, and operated in a responsible, compliant, and risk‑aware manner. 

As a TÜV SÜD certified AI Officer, you will: 

  • Act as a central interface across the entire AI system lifecycle
  • Identify, assess, and manage AI‑related risks
  • Translate legal and normative requirements into operational processes
  • Connect business units, IT, compliance, quality, and management
  • Support sustainable and trustworthy AI adoption at scale 

This qualification also enables progression to the Chief AI Officer TÜV SÜD and AI Auditor TÜV SÜD training programmes.

Prerequisites

To participate in the AI Officer TÜV SÜD training, one of the following is required: 

  • An AI Coordinator TÜV SÜD certificate or an equivalent qualification
  • Completion of training covering at least 80 percent of the AI Coordinator TÜV SÜD content
  • Participants with equivalent prior training may qualify via a lateral entry examination. Relevant training certificates must be submitted for review.
