TÜV SÜD Middle East: Certification of Persons

TÜV SÜD Middle East's primary goal is to improve the safety of cranes and lifting equipment operations. Its mission is to develop effective performance standards for those who work with and around cranes; to provide fair, valid, and reliable assessments of knowledge and skills; and to serve as an authoritative industry resource of relevant information. In line with this, TÜV SÜD Middle East administers written and practical examinations since October 2012 to certify lifting equipment operators, signal persons and riggers all across the United Arab Emirates & Qatar. The company’s Certification of Persons Centre complies with the accreditation criteria of ISO 17024:2012, EIAC-RQ-CB-006, the scheme outline document issued by the Public Health & Safety Department of Dubai Municipality and any specific requirements issued by Dubai or U.A.E. government authorities. Similarly the company's Certification of Person Centre in Qatar follows the ISO 17024:2012 & in house developed primary certification scheme (PRI-QT/8.1/D10-REV.3 which is designed in line with government authority regulation, Qatar Petroleum standard for Lifting Equipment and operations, QP-PAI-STD-005 Rev:00

Through this, TÜV SÜD Middle East continues to provide a thorough, independent assessment of the knowledge and skills required to work safely, enhances lifting equipment safety, reduces workplace risk, improves performance records, stimulates training, and gives due recognition to the professional skills required for Crane Operators, Riggers and Signal Persons.
