Manage exposure to fire and explosion risks

Managing fire and explosion risks is a crucial element of any risk management strategy for protecting physical assets, supply chain and market share. Due to demanding regulations, high levels of public scrutiny, partnering with a trusted loss prevention advisor is more crucial than ever. By engaging TÜV SÜD Global Risk Consultants (GRC), we act as an extension of your risk management team, conducting property surveys tailored to your unique risk management requirements. Our balanced approach will help you optimize your total cost of risk by focusing your finite resources where they will do the most good.

WHY IS FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEERING IMPORTANT?

According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), fire departments in the United States responded to almost 38,000 fires at industrial and manufacturing properties each year between 2011 and 2015. These fires resulted in approximately $25.6 billion USD in property loss*. As such, now, more than ever, organizations have a strong need to adeptly manage their exposure to fire and explosion risks, such as:

  • Greater demands for aggressive environmental liability management
  • Stricter insurance requirements
  • New technological advances for processing and warehousing

TÜV SÜD GRC HELPS YOU MINIMIZE YOUR FIRE AND EXPLOSION PROPERTY LOSSES

WHAT DOES FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEERING INVOLVE?

Annually, thousands of facility surveys are performed on behalf of our clients. These surveys vary in content, depending on the unique risk management requirements of our clients. The depth of these surveys ranges from brief “walk-through” property reviews followed by a short summary report, to full “Highly Protected Risk”-style inspections in which all protective equipment is operationally tested, and detailed narrative-style reports are issued with detailed data and loss expectancy supplements.

TÜV SÜD GRC is dedicated to providing sound, cost-effective Fire Protection Engineering services to address today's newest challenges in fire and explosion property loss prevention coupled with increased competitive demands.
