Understanding Testing Requirements for Environmental and Safety testing
Environmental testing simulates the different climatic conditions and mechanical stress that products are exposed to during their lifetime. It will expose weaknesses in a product’s design or performance that could occur in service, particularly at extreme levels. In general, environmental tests demonstrate durability and build quality to work perfectly, no matter what the conditions. During testing, possible weaknesses can be identified and product improvements can be initiated at an early stage.
Electrical safety testing, on the other hand is carried out to evaluate the potential risks of electrical shocks to customers when using their products. Electrical shock related to the use of electrical products is the cause of thousands of injuries and even deaths around the world each year, owing to poor design, inadequate maintenance, or unintended use.
In this on-demand webinar, our experts have provided insights and guidance covering the entire understanding of Environmental and Safety testing.
