TÜV SÜD has just won a major new Notified Body (NoBo) project called Västlänken.
Västlänken is a planned 8 km long double track connection through central Gothenburg of which 6 km is to be a tunnel with three sub-stations: the central station, Hagakyrkan and Korsvägen. Västlänken is part of the Western Swedish package and the budget is 20 billion kronor (2009 price level). Construction is planned for 2017/2018 and is expected finalised in 2026.
In total, the Western Swedish package has 34 billion kronor for projects regarding busses, railways and roads.
Johan Tann is going to manage the project Västlänken for TÜV SÜD. The project is essential for winning further larger projects enabling a larger Swedish expansion.
