The certification mark is intended to promote safety and chemical tests of mechanical bicycles.
City-trekking bikes / youth bikes / mountain bikes / racing bikes
The certification is based on the test program PPP 61009. The test programme contains the complete EN ISO 4210 as well as chemical requirements.
This TÜV SÜD test mark is awarded to products on a voluntary basis. It means that the product has been certified by the independent expert organization, TÜV SÜD Product Service. This test mark is only awarded to products that have undergone a product inspection by TÜV SÜD Product Service and have met the criteria described below.
The safety of the bikes is always in the foreground. This is determined during safety testing according to EN ISO 4210-2 performed by TÜV SÜD.
EN ISO 4210-2 is the product standard listed under the Product Act for city-trekking bikes / youth bikes / mountain bikes / racing bikes. In EN ISO 4210-2, the components of a bicycle are tested individually and in combination for their safety and durability.
This inspection refers to dynamic endurance tests, static loads and shock loads on the bicycle.
For example, typical movements such as standing on the pedals and alternately pulling on the handlebars are simulated, which often occurs when the cyclist gets out of the saddle when riding uphill.
Checking the brake for compliance with the necessary deceleration values is also an integral part of the checks
