Uzbekistan: Adoption of Technical Regulation on Restricting Hazardous Substances
On August 15, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted Resolution No. 517, which approves the Technical Regulation on the restriction of the use of hazardous substances in electrical and radio-electronic products.
- Effective date: The regulation enters into force on August 16, 2025.
- Implementation timeline: Mandatory compliance will begin six months after publication, i.e. on February 17, 2026.
- Scope: Electrical and radio-electronic products placed on the Uzbek market.
- Purpose: To regulate and restrict the use of hazardous substances in products to protect health and the environment.
