埃及：發布強制性標準以規範視聽及資訊通信技術設備

2025年2月10日，埃及工業部發布第7號決議，對多類產品（包括視聽及資訊通信技術（ICT）設備）實施強制性標準。

該決議要求強制執行以下標準：

• ES 2501-1：視聽、資訊及通信技術設備—第1部分：安全要求

根據該決議第2條，製造商及進口商享有6個月的寬限期以符合ES 2501-1標準。該標準採用IEC 62368-1:2023的技術內容，確保符合國際安全規範。
第7號決議已於2025年2月11日正式生效。

Egypt: Issues Mandatory Standards for Audiovisual and ICT Equipment

On February 10, 2025, the Egyptian Ministry of Industry issued Decision No. 7, introducing mandatory standards for various products, including audiovisual and information and communication technology (ICT) equipment.

The Decision mandates the implementation of the following standard:

• ES 2501-1: Audio/Video, Information, and Communication

Technology Equipment – Part 1: Safety Requirements
According to Article 2 of the Decision, manufacturers and importers are granted a six-month grace period to comply with ES 2501-1. This standard aligns with the technical content of IEC 62368-1:2023, ensuring consistency with international safety regulations.

Decision No. 7 officially came into effect on February 11, 2025.
