What does the Standard ISO 45001 cover?

The ISO 45001 standard defines the requirements for a certifiable occupational health and safety (OH&S) system. This includes:

  • The organisation considers the OH&S requirements in its environment, in particular at companies operating under the control and responsibility of the organisation.
  • The certified organisation establishes and regularly reviews the processes, responsibilities and tasks to control and monitor the occupational health and safety of workers in order to ensure their conformity with the specific OH&S requirements of the standard, the OH&S requirements defined by law or the German Institutions for Accident Insurance and Prevention and other OH&S requirements, such as customer-related and industry requirements.
