迎向淨零碳排社會: 德國鋼鐵業觀點

一、活動內容 / About

為調適氣候變遷，2021年7月歐盟提出「碳邊境調整機制」以修正先前各項制度造成的碳洩漏，因此催化各國在當年底的聯合國氣候變遷大會COP26上提出減碳目標，各國政府與企業面臨低碳轉型的挑戰與衝擊，若無法如期減少碳排放將付出巨額代價。

鋼鐵業一直是減碳的重點關注產業，此論壇特邀德國經濟辦事處(AHK Taiwan)分享德國鋼鐵業的現況與發展進程，並由全球領先專業認證公司TÜV SÜD 的德國鋼鐵業實際減碳稽核(VeriSteel) ，並說明當前歐盟邊境碳稅及相關查證制度。

In order to adjust to climate change, in July 2021, the European Union proposed the "Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism" to correct the carbon leakage caused by the previous systems, which catalyzed countries to propose carbon reduction targets at COP26 at the end of the year. Facing the challenges and impacts of the low-carbon transition, if the carbon emission cannot be reduced as scheduled, it will come at a huge price.

The steel industry has always been a key for carbon reduction. This forum specially invited the German Trade Office Taipei to share the current situation and development process of the German steel industry, and the actual carbon reduction audit of the German steel industry (VeriSteel) by the world's leading professional certification company TÜV SÜD, and explain the current EU border carbon tax and related verification system.
