As explosion-proof equipment standards continue to evolve, manufacturers must stay aligned with the latest international requirements across product design, testing and verification, marking requirements, and technical documentation.
The introduction of IEC 60079-0 Edition 8 brings several critical technical updates. To help manufacturers successfully navigate these updates, TÜV SÜD Taiwan is hosting this seminar on the key differences between IEC 60079-0 Edition 7 and Edition 8. The session will focus on the major changes introduced in the new edition and help enterprises understand how these updates may affect certificate transitions and product compliance planning across multiple global certification systems, including IECEx, ATEX, UKEX, and HazLoc. Attendees will gain early insights into transition planning, helping them reduce future redesign costs and market access risks.

本次研討會將由TÜV SÜD Taiwan工業產品技術服務部門經理 陳宏彬主講，結合法規解析與實務經驗，分享新版標準的重點變化、證書轉版規劃方向，以及不同產品類型在新版要求下應關注的合規議題。活動適合防爆設備製造商、系統整合商、撬裝系統或控制盤製造商，以及持有IECEx、ATEX或UKEX證書並需規劃標準轉版的企業代表參與。

This seminar will be presented by Jason Chen, IDP Section Manager at TÜV SÜD Taiwan. Combining regulatory interpretation with practical experience, Jason will share the key changes in the new standard, strategic considerations for certificate transitions, and critical compliance issues that different product types should address under the new requirements.
