TÜV SÜD organises a 5-day Lead auditor training program based on CQI and IRCA Certified PR375: FSSC 22000 version 6.0 standards.
FSMS (Food Safety Management System) Auditor plays a vital role in establishing and maintaining a robust and efficient process on FSMS in any Organisation. To achieve this, an auditor requires good knowledge of food safety and skills in auditing. Effective audits assist an organisation in implementing and maintaining FSMS in the true spirit, thus ensuring the organisation's products are safe for the end consumers and gaining trust from customers and other stakeholders.
This Lead auditor training program is structured to provide an overall understanding of ISO 22000:2018 food safety management system requirements, Sector specific prerequisite program (PRPs) requirements (ISO/TS 22002-x-series or other specific PRP standard) and FSSC 22000 Additional requirements. Along with understanding the key elements of ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021 Standards.
The 5-days course is CQI & IRCA (http://www.quality.org/) accredited training; it will be conducted by our experienced auditors and tutors, who have audited and provided training to numerous organisations from diverse industries. They will share their experiences and knowledge of these standards and requirements. After successful completion of this course, a certificate issued is recognised globally, and this course satisfies the training requirements for becoming a CQI-IRCA-approved FSSC 22000 auditor.
At the end of this program, the delegate will be able to understand and audit an organisation with regards to:
• Risks involved in the food business and the importance of PDCA
• Importance of Identifying food safety hazards in the process and ensuring the final product meets the customer requirements and regulatory compliance

• To understand FSSC 22000 additional auditing requirements viz food defence, food fraud, EMP program, allergen management, food safety & quality culture, equipment management, and meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).The importance of statutory & regulatory requirements during audit
• Auditing techniques as per ISO 19011:2018 guidelines interpreting it to auditing requirements
• Understanding the importance of different audit findings and their impact on FSMS
• Importance of Audit Program, Initiating the audit, preparing audit activities, conducting audit activities, preparing and distributing audit report, completing audit and conducting audit follow-up
• As per FSSC 22000 Ver 6.0, understanding the importance of an Unannounced audit, the scope of the audit, audit time & duration calculation, and use of Information and communication technologies used in the audit
• Understand techniques to plan an audit against set criteria, Interview techniques and auditing techniques to execute the audit, make reports and communicate the findings

Recommend prior knowledge
• With regards to experience in the food chain, HACCP, GMP, GHP, etc.
• Understanding of relevant food safety legislation & pre-requisite programs
• A prior knowledge of the ISO 22000:2018, ISO/TS 22002-1 and FSSC 22000 additional requirements
Participants will be assessed throughout the course:
1. Continuous Evaluation: Punctuality, presentation skills, interactive approach, involvement, role-play, daily tests, etc.
2. Written Examination: (Open book) online examination with AI proctored at the end of the course.
*Study and other materials will not be allowed during the exam for reference.
Total Marks for Examination: 80 (Passing Marks – 40); passing marks of 50% in each of the five sections is mandatory.
Participants completing the course will be presented with a TÜV SÜD certificate and a CQI/IRCA mark, which is renowned in certification and carries worldwide acceptance. The Lead Auditor course is made in line with international registers and guidelines.
Participants who score 70% and above in the continuous assessment and score above 50% marks in the final online examination will be issued a certificate of Achievement. In contrast, the others will be issued a certificate of attendance.
