TÜV SÜD has appointed Gerald Bachler as the new CEO of the Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) region, effective 1 March 2023. Bachler will thus be responsible for coordinating the Group's operations in the region. He will be based at the regional headquarters in Vienna.
Gerald Bachler brings broad experience and lots of expertise to his new position, having held several management positions at TÜV SÜD Austria. After joining the TÜV SÜD Austria as an expert for materials and welding technology as well as an auditor in 2007, Bachler took over as Head of Division Systems Engineering in 2013 and as Head of the Industry Service Division in 2016. Since 2022, he has also managed the Industry Service Division in the CEE region. He is also the Chair of the Welding Technology Committee of Austrian Standards. Gerald Bachler graduated from the University of Leoben, Austria, with an engineer degree in materials science.
