The TÜV SÜD MS CBS standard defines the requirements for management for quality, environmental and risk labour in repair workshops, and the technical requirements for each activity of a repair workshops . These requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • General Requirements: Service Management, Human resources, support process, management of client satisfaction, guarantees and complaints, environmental management, and labor risk prevention.

  • Client related requirements: Customer can decide to increase the number or demand of requirements.

  • What do “Certification” or the issue of a certification mark according to TÜV SÜD Management Service by TÜV SÜD AMT mean?
    • The customer has submitted to voluntary assessment (audit) according to defined criteria (certification standard).
    • A certificate and/or the authorization to use a certification mark are only issued if the assessment (audit) does not reveal any major nonconformities with the requirements of the relevant standard.
    • Certificates and/or certification marks are valid for a restricted period of time (1 year). Interested parties can check the validity of individual certificates in the certificate database.
    • To maintain certificate validity, the certificate holder must complete and successfully pass annual announced assessments (audits).
    • Unannounced audits are possible in specific cases: specific modul recommended manufacturer reviews requires mistery shopping.
  • How is the assessment/audit performed?

Independent and qualified experts (auditors) apply the following auditing techniques:

    • Document review:
Evaluation of the organisation’s requirements and/or documentation to ensure the systematic control of all defined processes. Before audit on site the LA will perform a document review off site. (if the customer don’t sent all relevant documents or in a incomplete way, the time on site will be increased).

    • On-site audit:
All years an audit on site is mandatory for renewal of the certificate. Verification, in the form of interviews and on-site inspection at the customer's premises, that the above requirements are effectively implemented in practice. Random on-site checks of processes based on records, such as available measurement results, minutes of meetings, training and qualification records, complaints management and records related to defined objectives and the resulting improvement projects

    • In case the specific module recommended manufacturer reviews:
      Mystery shopping
  • What is beyond the scope of certification according to the TÜV SÜD MS CBS standard?
    • This certification does not constitute product certification. Certification thus does not provide any direct statements on the quality of a product of the certified customer.
    • Certification according to TÜV SÜD MS CBS does not ensure in each specific case that a product or service complies with customer requirements, even though this is one of the key objectives of the standard.
