Put safety at the heart of your railway operations

Put safety at the heart of your railway operations

WHAT IS MAINTENANCE OF ROLLING STOCK?

Rolling stock manufacturers, keeper, ECM and operators face the challenge of guaranteeing personal safety and protecting the value of assets and the environment, while also complying with statutory requirements and product liability regulations. Modern maintenance testing solutions for railway systems support you to manage this challenge and ensure safety and quality of rolling stock.

WHY IS MAINTENANCE INSPECTION IMPORTANT?

Our testing solutions provide manufacturers, keeper, ECM and operators several benefits:

  • Save time and money through our global experience from numerous projects ensuring you to minimize the risk of time-consuming and costly rework
  • Minimise risk by identifying safety- and approval-relevant weaknesses at an early stage to avoid project delays and ensure railway system safety
  • Gain a competitive edge by working with an independent testing organisation who provides testing services as a Notified Body (NoBo), Designated Body (DeBo), Assessment Body (AsBo) and ECM Certification Body (ECM CB).

ECM CERTIFICATION

A certified maintenance management system according to the ECM Regulation (EU) 2019/779 offers the advantage of improved safety and reliability in railway transport. By complying with the regulations and standards, potential risks can be minimised and the efficiency of maintenance processes can be increased. This helps to prevent accidents and reduce operating costs in the long term.

TÜV SÜD Rail has been recognized by the Federal Railway Authority as the first certification body for Entities in Charge of Maintenance (ECM) in Germany. The ECMs are responsible for organizing a maintenance management system and thus play a crucial role in the safety of the European railway system.

We have many years of experience in the field of ECM certification as well as the certification of ECM maintenance functions.
