Holger Lindner: “We help our customers to design and produce safe, future-proof, and sustainable products for international markets.” 

Holger Lindner (50) is the new CEO of the Product Service Division at TÜV SÜD. The Product Service Division focuses on providing testing and certification services aimed at ensuring quality, reliability, and marketability of products in the consumer goods, food, medical, industrial, energy and transport sectors. Lindner succeeds Dirk Eilers, who is retiring. Holger Lindner is based in Singapore.

TÜV SÜD’s Product Service Division employs approximately 5,400 people in 22 countries. With 80 per cent of the workforce outside Germany, Product Service is the most international of all divisions at the service provider, which has a total workforce of over 24,000 at around 1,000 locations all over the world. The Product Service Division focuses on services that cover textiles, toys, household appliances, electric and electronic products, food, complex active and non-active medical devices, in-vitro diagnostics systems, industrial machinery, high-performance batteries and system components for the manufacturing and energy sector and automotive, rail, and aerospace industries.

“By providing our testing and certification services, we support manufacturers, distributors, importers, and retailers in their quest to produce innovative, safe, compliant, high-performing, and marketable products that meet the needs and regulations of their target markets”, explains Holger Lindner. “Our services span the entire length of the value chain, from design and development to market entry, logistics chain, right up to the point of sale.” To achieve this, TÜV SÜD’s product experts can boast in-depth specialist knowledge of national and international laws, directives and standards and long-standing experience in all the relevant industry sectors and technologies. The Product Service Division operates a global network of laboratories providing expert services in chemical, physical, microbiology, environmental, and EMC testing, safety and performance testing for high-performance batteries. The division also provides services addressing functional safety, interoperability, embedded security and global market access.

Holger Lindner has first-hand experience of the activities of TÜV SÜD’s Product Service Division; as its Chief Financial Officer since 2013, he was a driving force behind the positive development of the division and accelerated innovation in recent years. After studying aeronautical engineering at the University of Stuttgart and graduating with a double degree from Ecole Centrale Paris, Lindner initially joined the Daimler Group, where he held various management positions in Europe and Asia as assistant to the executive board and in regional strategy, corporate development, innovation, sales & marketing, and product management. Before joining TÜV SÜD, he had been Chief Financial Officer with responsibility for commercial operations in Asia for several years for the Daimler Group.
