One of the challenges faced by many organisations in implementing Industry 4.0 is the level of familiarity across different technology and operations teams. Knowledge often resides in specific individuals or teams. The Smart Industry Readiness Index provides a tool to create that common understanding and vision.
Mr. Lim Hock Heng, Vice President & Site Director, Pharma Supply Chain (Singapore), GlaxoSmithKline
There are many grand Industry 4.0 visions and plenty of innovative solutions in the market. The greatest challenge is to translate the vision into tangible steps to deliver real value to the business across the entire network supply chain. For all companies, one of the first steps is to identify a well-defined roadmap before investing into appropriate technologies.
