Mexico issues new MRLs for pesticides

Mexico has approved new maximum residue limits (MRLs) for agricultural pesticides used in connection with food and food products.

The standard, NOM-082-SAG-FITO/SSA1-2017, “Maximum residues limits (MRL). Technical Guidelines and Procedures for the Authorisation and Revision” was published in early October in the Mexican Official Journal. The standard establishes technical requirements for the evaluation of MRLs in agricultural pesticides that have been registered for use in Mexico.
