To support the MICE sector in organising safe business events amidst COVID-19, SACEOS, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Enterprise Singapore (ESG) have developed the Event Industry Resilience Roadmap (IRR). The IRR sets out the SG SafeEvent Standard applicable to events organised in Singapore.
The SG SafeEvent Standard consists of checklist (TR 84 : 2021 Technical reference - Safe event management for the MICE and events industry) that will help guide MICE businesses in implementing STB’s Safe Business Event Risk Management Framework throughout its event – from pre-event, during, to post-event.
As Singapore begins piloting and resuming Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) events, it is important to ensure that Safe Management Measures (SMMs) are adhered to keep attendees and organisers safe.
By being certified to the SG SafeEvent Standard, you can demonstrate your commitment in ensuring guests’ safety, compliance and wellbeing at your events.
SG SafeEvent assessment is an excellent opportunity for existing venue operators, MICE and event organisers and suppliers in Singapore to assess if events are conducted in compliance with government-mandated Safe Management Measures (SMM). The event safety certification helps industry professionals to achieve high standards in hygiene, safety, and health.
Appointed by SACEOS Singapore as an assessment body for the SG SafeEvent Standard certification, TÜV SÜD PSB can support event organisers, venues and suppliers in assessing your implementation of STB’s Safe Business Event Risk Management Framework.
As a leading and internationally recognised Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) organisation, our experienced and qualified auditors can help businesses like yours to validate and strengthen both indoor & outdoor event risk assessment and management framework.
As a safe event assessment body, our responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Relevant personnel from TÜV SÜD PSB will walk the applicant through the entire application and certification process. This will facilitate applicant to understand the journey to achieve certification.
Various details pertaining to the organisation will be collected as a reference for assessor to determine the audit scope.
To effectively conduct the audit, offsite documentation assessment or an onsite certification assessment is carried out. For both onsite and offsite assessment checks on applicant’s documentation (e.g. policy, manual & procedure) will be required to identify any lapses/gaps against TR 84 checklist guidelines by SACEOS.
After completion of assessment including any remediation, assessors will compile all information and make a final recommendation to SACEOS for their certificate issuance decision.
If you are interested to apply for SG SafeEvent Standard certification, you may fill in the form on this page and we will be in contact with you shortly to facilitate the process.
