TÜV SÜD global mark for passive fibre optic products has formulated more stringent standards in testing the mechanical reliability, environmental reliability, pre-and-post retrofit airtightness, and optical performance. It is applied to a series of optical distribution network (ODN) products, including connectors, optical components, and various types of protective cover. So far, TÜV SÜD has launched three kinds of marks for different product categories:
For ODN Closure
For ODN Distribution Cable Connector
For ODN Drop Cable Connector
With the release of the first global certification for passive fibre optic products, TÜV SÜD will continue to make efforts in the optical fiber communications industry to provide comprehensive testing and certification services for the safety and quality of laser products, optical fiber communications products and systems.
“High-quality ODN network is the cornerstone for operators to achieve business success. By joining hands with TÜV SÜD, the premium testing and certification provider of optical communication products, we demonstrate the high quality and reliability of our DQ ODN products which can guarantee the all-optical network to support long-term business evolution of operators. Furthermore, its features of plug-and-play and easy-to-install can significantly reduce the cost, improve the efficiency of network construction, and shorten the return on investment for the operators,” said Mr. Wu Qisheng, a representative from Huawei at the ceremony.
