Suzhou/China. Recently, TÜV SÜD issued the first ISO 26262 certificate based on ADAS solution and the first supplier-level ISO 26262 process certificate to WHETRON ELECTRONICS (SUZHOU) CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as “WHETRON). This certificate accomplishes the zero breakthrough of “double champion” in Chinese automotive industry.
The acquisition of the certificate symbolizes WHETRON’s overall development capability and relevant development process reaching the world leading quality and security performances required by ISO 26262. Moreover, it also demonstrated that the authoritative local team of TÜV SÜD has the professional strength and service capability to offer professional and reliable Automotive Functional Safety certification.
Previously, TÜV SÜD in Europe has supported huge amounts of OEMs and Tier 1 to build up functional safety development processes that meet regulatory requirements and the current state of their business. In 2012, TÜV SÜD presented the Asia 1st ISO 26262 Functional Safety Development Process Certificate in Automotive electronics industry. The certificate holder is a leading automotive electronics supplier in Asia.
