Course Description
This training course will first provide you with knowledge on the fundamental safety standards and requirements for the decommissioning of nuclear facilities. It will then guide you through the decommissioning licensing process and highlight related regulatory aspects. The dismantling, sorting, treatment and conditioning of materials, components and structures will be addressed presenting different techniques and strategies. Furthermore, you will learn about the storage of different types of radioactive waste and the respective requirements. The course will feature practical exercises getting the participants engaged and thus strengthening their practical knowledge.
