The Automated Vehicles Symposium (AVS) is one of the most comprehensive events of the year for our industry. It’s a joint production from the Transportation Research Board (TRB), an operating unit of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, and the Association of Unmanned Vehicles Systems International (AUVSI) that grew from a group of almost 500 in 2014 into the largest AV meeting in the world.
The Automated Vehicles Symposium not only includes specialized breakouts and expert-led plenary sessions, it also includes 50 exhibiting companies and hundreds of opportunities for you to network with fellow industry professionals and colleagues. It's an investment of time and money well spent if you want to learn about and shape the future of automated vehicles.
Houssem Abdellatif, Global Head Autonomous Driving & ADAS at TÜV SÜD, is presenting at the Automated Vehicles Symposium 2019 in Orlando in the Breakout Session "Safety Assurance of Automated Driving" in
Room Canary 2
Date: 16 July 2019
Time: 1:45 pm – 2:45 pm
Presentation: Test Track Testing in PEGASUS
Session description: Safety Assurance of Automated Vehicle is a required research area for introduction of automated driving. The session will focus on the results of the German PEGASUS project and on the international discussion on the research status. The elaborated and available methodologies need to be presented, discussed and harmonized. The goal is to compare and synchronize all solutions on a global scale. This offers the chance to leverage synergies for internationally acting stakeholders, but is also necessary in order to prepare international standards defining a reasonable state of the art.
