TÜV SÜD AND HUAWEI JOIN FORCES TO PROMOTE SAFETY OF INTELLIGENT DRIVING PRODUCTS

TÜV SÜD Greater China has entered into an in-depth cooperation with Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huawei"), a global leading ICT (information & communication technology) infrastructure and intelligent terminal provider, to provide functional safety certification and evaluation for its MDC intelligent driving computing platform in accordance with ISO 26262:2018 standard. Thus helps Huawei break through the safety technological barriers and jointly promoting the safety development of intelligent driving products.

TÜV SÜD has quickly built up the functional safety experts’ team for Huawei MDC project since the beginning and carried out in-depth technical discussions with Huawei with respect to functional safety management, system architecture design, and safety analysis. At present, TÜV SÜD has carried out the assessment on the safety concept phase in system level and will subsequently continue to perform the assessment on the safety analysis, as well as on the design, development and validation of software and hardware, with a view to pave the path for Huawei's compliance with ISO 26262 vehicle functional safety standard.
