Singapore is the first country in the world to have developed national guidelines, Technical Reference 68 (TR 68), to promote the safe deployment of fully autonomous vehicles. TR 68 gives clear specifications for OEM and can thus be used as a blueprint for future international standards in this field. Experts from TÜV SÜD were significantly involved in the development of TR 68 from the outset and contributed their expertise in the fields of operational/functional safety, cybersecurity and vehicular data – and hence in three out of four working groups.
