On September 24th, TÜV SÜD awarded ISO 14155 certificates to three general hospitals of Korea University Medicine (KU Medicine) in Korea. With this certification, Korea University Medicine is able to claim compliance to the ISO 14155 standard when conducting clinical investigations with medical devices.
TÜV SÜD Product Service has issued their first Medical Device Regulation (MDR) certificate since receiving notification in May 2019. The MDR which came into force in May 2017, must be implemented by late May 2020.
Assessment of the condition of vehicles during their collection and return is playing an increasingly important role as rising demand and frequency impact on the shared-mobility sector. Digital Vehicle Scan (DVS) records a vehicle's condition in only 30 seconds. For this purpose, up to 22 cameras scan the entire vehicle, including the underside, while it is driven through the system. DVS even measures tyre inflation pressure and tread depth. In addition, TÜV SÜD is developing automatic damage identification based on artificial intelligence.
