About FSSC22000 FSMA PCHF Addendum
Japan has high awareness of FSMS (food safety management system) and the country ranks second in the world for its number of FSSC22000-certified sites. In the recent years, demand for exporting food product is raising among Japanese food manufacturers. For US export, food manufacturers often concern whether FSSC 22000 certifications are sufficient to cover FSMA requirements.

The FSSC Foundation, the governing body of FSSC22000, has released the FSSC22000 FSMA PCHF Addendum (addendum) to integrate the FSMA requirements and the FSSC22000 standard requirements and fill in the gaps between the two.

By undergoing FSMA PCHF addendum conformity assessment in annual FSSC 22000 audit, food manufacturers can receive third party verification of FSMA addendum confirmation in addition to FSSC22000 standard. Once this conformation process is completed, manufacturers can receive documented conformation about FSMA PCHF addendum not only FSSC 22000 certification.
