What to consider for future-proof power supply

The war in Ukraine has made the energy transition even more urgent. Turning away from fossil energy sources requires the accelerated expansion of renewable energies. TÜV SÜD supports the transformation towards an electricity-based supply with comprehensive services and will be present at the Intersolar Europe 2022 trade fair in Munich from 11 to 13 May (Hall A4, Stand 430).

With comprehensive services for the generation, storage and distribution of renewable energies, TÜV SÜD will be addressing the topics of electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), grid connection guidelines and communication between vehicles and charging stations at Intersolar Europe 2022. "From generation to consumption and e-mobility, TÜV SÜD can support almost the entire spectrum," says Christian Moschner, Head of Sales IEP at TÜV SÜD Product Service. "For example, we help developers and manufacturers ensure that their photovoltaic products meet all legal requirements at the national and international level."

With a Technical Due Diligence (TDD), TÜV SÜD also creates a resilient decision-making basis for investors in photovoltaic parks. The services for buyers or sellers include technical feasibility studies, assessments of the contractual basis and financing models, and detailed evaluations of the technical fundamentals and prerequisites. "This includes, for example, statements on individual components of the PV park and on the quality of execution, assessment of performance and forecasts of energy yield, as well as safety-related acceptance tests and verification of conformity with applicable national and international standards," explains Michael Lange, Senior Due Diligence Manager at TÜV SÜD Industrie Service. In a Red Flag Report, the experts point out potential stumbling blocks and deal stoppers. In addition, the client receives a final report that contains a comprehensive evaluation of the PV park from a technical point of view. TÜV SÜD has now audited more than 200 PV parks worldwide and prepared corresponding assessments.
