New head of TÜV SÜD Advimo as Norbert Rupp succeeds Robert Oettl

Norbert Rupp will take over as CEO of TÜV SÜD Advimo GmbH with effect from 1 June 2021. With 260 employees at twelve locations throughout Germany, the TÜV SÜD subsidiary is among the country’s leading consulting and service partners for professional investors, portfolio developers, users and operators of real estate throughout the full property life cycle.

ts-pr-norbert-ruppNorbert Rupp, 51, is synonymous with the continuing success story of TÜV SÜD Advimo. Together with Robert Oettl and Matthias Mosig, he founded cgmunich GmbH in 2002 and cgmunich Asset & Property Management GmbH in 2009, thus laying the foundations for TÜV SÜD Advimo GmbH as it is today. After the acquisition of cgmunich by TÜV SÜD in 2014 and its integration into the corporation, Norbert Rupp moved to the Real Estate & Infrastructure Division at TÜV SÜD. In his new position, the construction engineer oversaw the establishment and international expansion of the Building Advisory Services business unit and associated M&A activities. A further key focus of his activities was the establishment of new digital services for the real-estate industry, including BIM advisory services, use of model checkers and building simulation, and compliance as a service – the name given to software solutions for managing real estate operators’ regulatory obligations.

During that time, Robert Oettl was CEO of cgmunich and continuously expanded the range of services provided by the company by making targeted acquisitions in the areas of real estate planning, construction and operation and by developing new digital business models. cgmunich changed its name to TÜV SÜD Advimo GmbH in 2016, signalling the company’s broader future-facing direction for the future. Today it supplies a comprehensive portfolio of services covering the full life cycle of real estate, spanning technical advisory services, smart building & sustainability consulting, real estate management consulting, asset & property management services, lift management and BIM strategy, BIM consulting and BIM management. TÜV SÜD Advimo GmbH achieved five first or second-place rankings in the Bell Property Management Report between 2015 and 2020 – impressive proof of the quality of the company’s services and its success in carving out a market position as a new brand.

Norbert Rupp will continue to drive the development of TÜV SÜD Advimo as a partner for professional investors, portfolio developers, users and operators throughout the life cycle of their real estate. “My close involvement in developing service products and rolling out new services has given me in-depth familiarity with the issues and customers addressed by TÜV SÜD Advimo“, says Norbert Rupp. “Our paramount objective will continue to be providing tangible and quantifiable value to our customers as a result of our services. We make a major contribution to safeguarding quality, cost certainty and sustainability throughout all phases of the real-estate life cycle.” In the new CEO’s view, the most promising potential can be found in the areas of building information modelling (BIM), lift management, life cycle management and implementation of sustainability targets and ESG (environmental, social, governance) criteria in the real-estate sector.

Robert Oettl is leaving TÜV SÜD Advimo to focus on his activities as business angel and investor for real-estate-related startups, advisory council member for real-estate companies, and senior advisor for real-estate services.
