TÜV SÜD testing guidelines for the NISTIR 8259A for IoT Device Cybersecurity Capability Core Baseline is now listed in the U.S. NIST’s National Online Informative Reference Program (OLIR). Its function described by NIST is “analyzing the submitted OLIRs for correctness, working with submitters regarding any corrections, and hosting links to the public draft and final versions of the OLIRs.” With this mechanism, cybersecurity document owners can communicate with owners and users of other cybersecurity documents.

About the U.S. National Online Informative References
The U.S. National Online Informative References (OLIR) Program is a NIST effort to facilitate subject matter experts in defining standardized Online Informative References (OLIRs), which are relationships between elements of their documents and elements of other documents. The National OLIR Program initially focused on relationships between cybersecurity and privacy. However, the program has evolved to include other domains. The National OLIR Program integrates ongoing NIST projects that respond to administrative and legislative requirements. The National OLIR Program can represent relationships to any authoritative documents, products, or services. These resources can be generated from national and international standards, guidelines, frameworks, and regulations to policies for individual organizations, sectors, or jurisdictions.
